EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Grace Singer is the Partner-in-Charge of the Quality Control Department and has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting. Working with the Quality Control Committee, she advises on the impact of current, new, and evolving standards, and assists in assuring that the firm’s accounting and auditing services comply with accepted standards and policies. She performs technical reviews of attest engagements, provides consultations and staff training on technical issues, updates the firm regarding new technical pronouncements, and assures that the firm complies with all professional and regulatory quality control standards. Grace is also involved in litigation support and research assignments.

Grace has worked with a variety of industries, including the real estate, hospitality, not-for-profits, retail, distribution, apparel, and publishing sectors, as well as SEC-related engagements. Her experience working with not-for-profit organizations includes supervising Uniform Guidance audits.

Grace frequently speaks to professional audiences on topics that include ethics, accounting standards, internal control issues, and fraud. An active member of NYSSCPA, she has conducted Foundation for Accounting Education conferences and spoken at the Real Estate Conference for this organization.

She has provided commentary on accounting issues in Accounting Today and Long Island Business News, appeared in The Trusted Professional, and contributed to an analysis of the economic downturn that appeared in The New York Times. She was selected for Notable Women in Accounting and Consulting by Crain’s New York Business.

EDUCATION AND LICENSES

Grace received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and economics from Fordham University. In 1982, she was licensed as a certified public accountant in New York.
